ASMR Touch Therapy FAQ
|
What is ASMR Touch Therapy? ASMR Touch Therapy is a sensory experience centered around light, delicate touch using fingertips and fingernails. Unlike traditional massage, the purpose is not to work on muscles or relieve physical tension, but to explore the sensations that touch can create. What happens during a session? Throughout the session, fingertips and fingernails move across different areas of the body, creating responses that can range from subtle to intense. Sessions typically begin with you lying face down before transitioning to face up. No tools or other equipment are used. What should I wear? You may wear whatever makes you most comfortable. You can remain fully covered, wear undergarments, or choose to be fully nude. If you prefer to be draped, professional draping is available throughout the session. I recommend arriving without lotion or oils on your skin, as they can create a barrier between your skin and the delicate touch that is central to the ASMR experience. What areas are touched? ASMR touch may include the back, arms, legs, hands, sides, and face. I may also explore less commonly touched areas, such as behind the ears and along the base of the neck. Hair play may also be part of the session, such as gently running my fingers through your hair or lightly touching your scalp. Feet are not normally included but may be touched upon request. Certain areas are excluded from the experience. What does ASMR touch feel like? You may experience tingling, goosebumps, a subtle vibration, a ripple across your body, or a powerful feeling that seems to travel from one area to another. Some people notice individual touches very clearly, while others experience a more continuous, flowing feeling. |

Why do people seek ASMR Touch Therapy? People seek out ASMR Touch Therapy for many different reasons. Some are looking for relaxation and stress relief, while others enjoy the tingles and find that ASMR can help them settle their minds and sleep more easily. Clients may also seek ASMR touch when they are coping with physical discomfort, reduced sensation, or simply miss the feeling of human connection. Others are drawn to the experience during periods of loneliness, sadness, or when they simply want to feel cared for and connected. Can I communicate what I like during the session? Absolutely. You are always welcome to let me know what feels good, what you'd like more or less of, or if you'd like to try something different. Communication helps make the experience comfortable and enjoyable for you. How long is a session? Sessions are available in 60-, 90-, and 120-minute options. Current rates and payment methods accepted are listed on the reservation page when you book your session. Is ASMR Touch Therapy appropriate for everyone? ASMR touch is a personal sensory experience. If you have a condition, injury, or other concern that may affect your ability to receive touch, please discuss it with me before your session. Some people are naturally more ticklish than others. If certain types of touch feel too ticklish, I adjust my technique by using more fingertip touch instead of fingernails and avoiding areas that tend to trigger a ticklish response. Is ASMR Touch Therapy intended to be sexual? No. ASMR Touch Therapy is a non-sexual sensory experience. The focus is on relaxation and the sensations created by light, delicate touch. Professional boundaries are maintained throughout every session. |
