Meet Annie, The Woman Behind The Touch

My Journey to ASMR
Long before I knew there was a name for ASMR, I discovered that I could help my partners relax through touch. I would play with their hair, lightly scratch their backs, and try different things just to see what they liked. Over time, I became fascinated by how differently people respond to touch, so I kept experimenting. As I traveled, I also discovered new things that I enjoyed and brought some of those ideas back into my own practice.

In 2014, I decided to turn that interest into a practice, and Touched by Annie was born. What started as something I naturally did to help people I cared about relax has grown into something I genuinely enjoy. I love creating a space where people can slow down, feel comfortable, and simply relax for a while.

A Little About Me
Born in Vietnam, I came to the USA as a young refugee with my family. I earned my BBA in Accounting and went on to spend much of my career in the corporate world, ultimately serving as a CFO. I’m proud of what I accomplished, but over time I realized I wanted something different—more freedom, more connection, and work that felt meaningful to me.

That realization changed the way I wanted to live. I began traveling more and embracing a semi-nomadic lifestyle, splitting my time between Houston and wherever my curiosity takes me. I’ve never quite felt at home in one particular place, and I think part of me is still searching for where I belong. Along the way, I’ve discovered that I enjoy the people I meet and the experiences I have just as much as the places themselves.

I love traveling on my own, especially when it takes me outdoors. Give me a beautiful coastline, a mountain trail, a waterfall, or a road leading somewhere I’ve never been, and I’m happy. The photos throughout this website are all from my travels, capturing the scenery, adventures, and unforgettable experiences I’ve encountered along the way. The collage below brings together a few more of those moments and places that I’ve been lucky enough to experience.
